The Chief Magistrate, Amina Yabo, ordered the remand of the accused and adjourned the case until Jan. 16, for further mention.
Shehu, a student of College of Education, Sokoto, is facing a two-count charge of attempted stealing and trespass.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Sgt. Monday Kennedy, had told the court that the case was reported at the Ugwuan Rogo Police Station, Sokoto, by the complainant on Dec. 31, 2018.

“The accused in the process of attempting to steal was arrested,’’ he said.
The prosecutor said that offences contravened Sections 97 and 356 of the Penal Code.
