Police CP Decorates 135 Promoted Officers, Men In Bauchi

Bauchi-No fewer than 135 officers and men of the Bauchi State Police command who were promoted to various ranks have been decorated by the State Commissioner of Police, Ali Janga.

Those decorated are 3 Assistant Commissioners of Police to Deputy Commissioners of Police,  3 Deputy Superintendent of Police to Superintendents of Police.

Others are 13 Assistant Superintendents of Police of Deputy Superintendents of Police while 116 Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendents of Police.

The Commissioner of Police who performed the decoration exercise on Tuesday at the Police Officers’ Mess, Bauchi was assisted by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Finance and Administration.

 “This event is aimed at celebrating yet a milestone achievement of the 20th indigenous Inspector of Police, Alhaji Muhammadu Adamu, who, in his wisdom, recommended to the Police Service Commission, Officers and Men for promotion and this, the Police Service Commission has duly approved and released the names of those who are affected by this promotion”

“Those our Officers who are affected by this promotion in this Command, are ACP to DCP, we have 3 of them, DSP to SP 3 Officers, ASP to DSP 13 of them, while Inspectors to ASPs , we have 116 of them.” He said

The CP charged those promoted to see their promotion as an opportunity to redouble their efforts in policing their domains and ensure that they are secured and peaceful.

“To whom much is given, much is expected, to all those who have been promoted, we are expecting to see a higher performance from you. If you were not performing before, this promotion should ginger you and give you the courage to redouble your efforts and ensure that you perform more than what you have been doing,” Janga said.

He called on those who are due for promotion to wait for their recommendation by the IGP to the Police Service Commission to be released and charged the Officers and Men of the Command to brace up for the inauguration of the Governor-elect saying that all has been put in place for the epoch-making event.

“By the grace to God, we’ve put all machineries in motion. Our Men who are supposed to partake in the parades, we’ve commenced their training at the Police Training School in Bauchi here.”

He assured that the Police in collaboration with other security agencies are always ready to provide security of lives and properties of all residents of the state and also rid the state of all crimes and criminals.

Speaking on behalf of those promoted, the Divisional Officer, Dambam Police Division, SP Abdulmumuni Musa, who thanked the Management Team and the Police Service Commission for finding them worthy and pledged commitment to put in their best to improve the Force.
