Family Of Man Killed By Cultists Demands Justice


Family of Late Victor Odaro, the man who was allegedly murdered by one Lucky and his cult group have cried out for Justice, appealing to Johnson Kokumo, Edo State Commissioner of Police to ensure that those responsible for the dasterdly act are made to answer for their deeds.

The family alleged that the said Lucky and his gang had boasted that they have enough money to spend and nothing would be done to them because of their connection in the society.

Late Victor Odaro, who left behind a pregnant wife and three children aged between 1 and 5years, was allegedly killed by Lucky and members of his gang now at large on November 1, 2018 at Evbuekoi village in Uhunmwode local government area of Edo State .

The family in a petition to the Commissioner of Police through their counsel, Mr Afolabi Olayiwola, said that the deceased was attacked by the gang who beat him mercilessly with battle axe, gun butt and other instruments, adding that, “this eventually led to his death “.

He said, “It is our brief that the said Lucky (aka fear nobody), is a member of a notorious gang that has been terrorizing Evbuekoi community for the past few years.

“Several reports have been made to the police in respect of the criminal gang, but they have always tactically evaded arrest.

Some of the places where reports have been made includes Egba Police Station, State C. I. D and Zone 5 Benin AIG office where the matters are still pending.

“We have earlier written to the Inspector General of Police for investigation about the criminal activities of these people and the IGP has directed you to investigate the matter.

“We therefore appealed to you to use your good office to put all the necessary in motion to apprehend the fleeing culprits while the said Lucky and others already in the custody of the police be made to answer for their actions.
