The ‘Emmerdale’ actor – who plays Dan Spencer in the ITV soap – is delighted after his significant other, who is also an actor, accepted his proposal, according to Femalefirst.co.uk reports.
Liam took to Twitter to share a selfie with Jo, who was showing off her sparkling band.
He wrote: “She only went and said yes…”
Several of Liam’s ‘Emmerdale’ co-stars rushed to congratulate the happy couple, including Gaynor Faye (Megan Macey).
She wrote: “Awwwww Congratulations – how lovely (sic)”
Sandra Marvin (Jessie Grant) shared: “Omg!! Huge congratulations to you both! Amazing news (sic)”
Jay Kontzle (Billy Fletcher) tweeted: “Congratulations!!! (sic)”
Liam also shared a picture of himself and his fiancée in Paris, standing in front of the iconic Arc de Triomphe.
He tweeted: “mon plus grand triomphe @missjohud (sic)”
Liam’s relationship happiness comes four years after he and ‘Hollyoaks’ star Nicole Barber-Lane (Myra McQueen) went their separate ways after 16 years of marriage.
The former couple – who have son Ben Fox, 19, and Nicole has a daughter, Gemma, from a previous relationship – released a joint statement at the time saying: “It is with much sadness that we confirm the end of our marriage, though our family unit remains strong.
“We’ll always love and respect each other and are united by our children and family remaining at the centre of our lives.”
Liam and Nicole first met in 1997 when they were both trainee teachers at Tameside college in Manchester.
